Dental First Aid Training Courses
Resuscitation Council UK has strongly recommended that Dental professionals attend annual training lasting approximately 3 hours.
Duration: Half day
Who should attend? This half day training is delivered in your practice and is tailored to all Dental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals.

The syllabus of the Dental First Aid course includes:
- First Aid Priorities
- Action in an Emergency
- Managing Incidents
- Airway Management
- Basic Life Support Adult & Child
- Unconscious Casualty
- Use of an A.E.D
- Common Dental Medical Emergencies
- Care and provision of equipment

Assessment and certification
There is no learner assessment, although there will be a continuous evaluation throughout the course all students deemed to have reached the required standard will be issued with a recognised certificate in DENTAL FIRST AID which is VALID FOR 1 YEAR. It should be remembered that the Dental First Aider should not attempt to give first aid for which they have not been trained.
